Saltcote Place was designed by the influential architect Sir Reginald Blomfield in the Queen Anne style it was built as a wedding present for Captain AAR Hennessy by the French side of this famous family, the work was completed in 1905 having taken over two years.

Because of the heritage of the building, we named the penthouse "The Hennessy suite" which is also available as an elegant bridal suite in addition to being a fantastic weekend or midweek retreat for those used to the best things in life.

Used as a Military headquarters, a nursing home and twice as a School it came back into private ownership in 2003 for the first time since 1935, since then we have worked hard to restore the property and now you can enjoy it for your visit to Rye.

Awesome views, and set in a quite secure location with plenty of parking and yet only 5 minutes walk to the town centre make Saltcote Place stand out as the obvious choice when looking for something special.

The property is large and the extensive grounds with outstanding views ranging from Dover to Fairlight almost 120 degrees in all with views over Camber beach the harbour and Rye bay.
